It was great to see some of our athletes selected for the Western Suns.

Nippers support
Walking the beach last Sunday, it was great to see the number of orange fluro shirts in the water with the Nippers. This was a great sign, and highlights the number of parents, guardians, grandparents, siblings etc that are supporting the young ones and in turn the AGM’s. Remember the more Parents etc are involved, the longer the kids will be!
The recent NRC sessions have clearly supported this, and it is great to see so many taking advantage of that resource. Again, thanks to Lifesaving Services and Education for facilitating these.
Nippers and Youth Survey
The reason I was walking the beach, was specifically to ask Nipper and Youth parents to complete a survey. I’ll be honest I felt a bit like a second-hand Car salesman – a survey on a Sunday morning on the beach is a hard sell.
But as mentioned previously, the aim of this is to support our thinking and subsequent planning. We have consulted with various areas across the Club and continue to do that with a current focus on Nippers and Youth areas. Please take the opportunity to add your voice to consultation by filling in the survey. The link is here but you will also see QR codes and other prompts around the Club. Thanks!
Regarding the Nippers – We have currently halted enrolments in several age groups. This allows us to take stock and manage the rest of the season within the resources we have (e.g., AGM’s etc). This will be reviewed after Christmas and opportunities may open up. Please note that it is not a ‘Cap’, just a realistic approach to managing numbers.
Western Suns
It was great to see some of our athletes selected for the Western Suns. These athletes join a long history of Mullaloo athletes selected across the range of events from Surf Boats, IRB, Surf, Beach. The Club is immensely proud of all those that are selected for this honour. For those taking the opportunity in this round, work hard, do your best and most importantly – enjoy the experience.
Special General Meeting
Members may remember at the AGM, the Clubs Auditor was not presented for approval. This process has now been finalised and the Board will be bringing this to a SGM after Christmas, likely 19th January 2024 for approval.
Ok. Again, plenty going on and plenty ahead in the coming weeks. Please take every opportunity to be involved, help, assist – whatever keeps you happy.
