Best of all, being a Youth member at Mullaloo makes you part of an energetic, fun-filled social group that allows you to ‘have-a-go’ and participate in everything from human pyramids on the beach to rock climbing in the south west!
At age 13, youth are able to attain their Surf Rescue Certificate and you will receive your red and yellow patrol uniform and can start patrolling! At the age of 15, Youth members can further develop their skills and complete their Bronze Medallion award.
You can fine-tune your lifesaving skills and progress through the competition pathway with opportunities to compete at local, national and international surf sports events.
If competition is not your thing, there are a number of opportunities to develop your life saving, leadership or coaching skills. You can assist Age Group Managers with Woodside Nippers, become a trainer, coach, or lead some youth activities. Find out more about the Youth Program Pathways on SLSWA’s mybeach website. Our Club supports all the development pathways and provides our youth with the opportunities.
Why not join the Youth Committee, a new season is quickly approaching. Now is when you can make a difference! Contact our Youth Manager if you would like to have input to this great developing section of the club.
The Club plans an annual Youth Camp each year. Be sure to keep a look out on our social pages and newsletter for the details and how you can participate.
From Nippers to Masters, swimming to surf boats, all ages and abilities can be involved in our Club activities!
