The aim of this course is to provide participants with the skills and knowledge of basic patrolling and surf awareness in order to be able to participate in lifesaving operations. This is the core award to be a surf lifesaver in Australia.
On completion of this course, it is expected that you assist your club and participate in a minimum of 16 patrol hours.
In a new initiative, the Club will be running a series of FREE ski paddling technique clinics to further progress and improve our paddler’s skills.
The clinics will be led by our own accredited kayak coach Nathan Vartesi.
Each clinic will be limited to 15 participants with places on a “first-in, best dressed” basis. Preference will be given to those who have been regularly attending the club training during winter.
Each clinic is run on a Sat & Sun from 1pm to 3pm each day.
