Message from the President

It was a great privilege to be elected the Club's New President last Friday evening.

06.10.2022 News

Dear Fellow Members,

I hope all is well with you and yours.

It was a great privilege to be elected the Club’s New President last Friday evening. I look forward to working on your behalf to grow and develop ‘Our Club’.

In taking on the role I would like to say a heartfelt thanks to parting President Craig Bull and Board members Carly Ferguson and Chrissie Payne. Craig has led the Club over the last two years and he and the Board have helped navigate us through a turbulent external environment amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. His calm and steady stewardship has left the Club a better place. Thank you Craig on behalf of the Club members.

Chrissie and Carly have similarly contributed greatly to the success of the Club over the last 2 or 3 years. Chrissie, has been central to developments over the last few years. She will continue in a new role of GM Marketing, so her skills will not be lost to us. Carly, has similarly provided great support and advice to the Board and I wish her all the best in the future. We will no doubt see both of you on the beach and around

Moving forward, I welcome Emma Bamforth on the Board – welcome and I look forward to working with you. Following the AGM, we have one vacant Board position. In the next week or so, please look out for details about how this will be filled.

I would also like to thank Jacqui McGregor for standing again for her second cycle on the Board. Similarly ongoing thanks to Sandy Clarke and Guy Edwards for continuing in their roles.

In introducing myself I look forward to working with the new Board, Club Executive, Managers and Staff towards a great 2022/23 season. “Valuing members, surf lifesaving on the beach and good governance will be our focus”

Please feel free to contact me or the relevant General Manager if you have questions or enquiries.

In the meantime I look forward to seeing you around the Club.

Regards Andy
