The aim of this course is to provide participants with the skills and knowledge to effectively drive and manage an Inflatable Rescue Boat (IRB) in surf rescue operations.

of the MULLALOO SURF LIFE SAVING CLUB to be held in the

In accordance with the Constitution (Version 1.3 dated 17/7/15), notice is given that the Annual General Meeting of the Mullaloo Surf Life Saving Club will be held in the Lounge at 4pm on Saturday 14 August 2021. All communication for the Annual General Meeting will be provided electronically.
Nominations are called for the following Board positions and will close at 2.00pm, Friday 23 July 2021.
Directors – three (3) positions, term of two (2) years
Director – one (1) position, term of one (1) year (this is to realign with the objective of the Constitution: 29.3 Term of Office of Directors.
Nomination Forms and Position Description can be downloaded from the link buttons below, by visiting the Club website at www.mullaloosurf.com.au, or by phoning the Club Office on Monday through to Friday between 9am and 4pm on 9307 7766.
Nominations for the Board should address the criteria specified in the relevant position description. The Nominator and Seconder must be eligible to vote at the Annual General Meeting.

AGM GENERAL BUSINESS
In accordance with the Constitution (Version 1.3 dated 17/7/15), any items of Special Business need to be forwarded in writing and received electronically by the office 21 days prior to the conduct of the Annual General Meeting, i.e. 2pm Friday 23 July 2021.
The Agenda, any proposed Constitutional amendments and details of nominees for the Director positions will be forwarded to members via email ten (10) days prior (4 August, 2021) to the conduct of the AGM.
Please remember, any item for discussion at the Annual General Meeting must be put in writing and received electronically by the office by Friday 23 July 2021.

AGM VOTING
In preparation for the AGM, to clarify eligibility for voting:
As detailed in our current Constitution and By Laws, any member who holds a proficient award recognised by SLSWA and who has recorded patrol/water safety hours during the 2020/21 season is eligible to vote.
Awards can be any of the following if they are current (2020/21 season) and registered with the Club and SLSA (visible on the Members Portal): First Aid; Radio Operator; Surf Rescue Certificate; Nipper Rescue Certificate; Bronze Medallion; Advanced Resuscitation.
Should voting be required at the AGM, a list of members who meet the criteria above will be used to mark off members as they arrive on the day. There will be no exceptions and no negotiations will be entered into on the day.
The aim of this course is to provide participants with the skills and knowledge of basic patrolling and surf awareness in order to be able to participate in lifesaving operations. This is the core award to be a surf lifesaver in Australia.
On completion of this course, it is expected that you assist your club and participate in a minimum of 16 patrol hours.
