IMPORTANT NOTICE PLEASE READ
Are you a volunteer?
A volunteer is anyone who actively assists or helps in any way from directors, general managers, managers, patrolling, water safety, AGM’s, AGMA’s, officiating, assessing, coaching, carnivals, sausage sizzles, events etc
All volunteers are required to have either a Working With Children Check (WWC) or sign a Volunteer Declaration Form if exempt from requiring a WWC. This is government legislation and we are required to be compliant.
Require a Working with Children Check | Require a Volunteer Declaration Form |
· You are over 18 and DO NOT have a child (under 18) in the club
· Any volunteering in an overnight stay with members under 18 |
· You are over 18 and HAVE a child in the club (under 18)
|
If you are a youth member (13 – 17 years) volunteering (including patrolling) you must sign a Volunteer Declaration Form OR provide a current WWC.
We suggest the latter, as it is a good resource to have for current/future employment |
WWC forms are available from the office with guidance on how to complete or any Australia Post outlet. All applications must be hard copy, it is only renewals that can be completed online.
The cost for obtaining a WWC for a volunteer organisation is $11.00. The Club will reimburse. Please keep your receipt from the Post Office to claim.
Please ensure you provide a signed copy of your Volunteer Declaration Form or a copy of your WWC to the office, so these details can be added to your profile in Surfguard.
If you have any questions please contact the office on 9307 7766 or email Guy Edwards,
