Volunteers of the Month – Dec 2021

The Edith Cowan University sponsored Volunteer of the Month awards for December were presented at the Club on Friday 14 January. We had two attend the presentation on Friday with the balance receiving their awards over the weekend. Fantastic effort from these Mullaloo members!

Nicki Barrett

Nicki is an inspiration, as the Age Group Manager for the under 13 boys. She is knowledgeable committed and passionate with all things swimming and surf lifesaving very deserving of an award. Nicki provides support to fellow Age Group Managers just starting out and actively engages in various operations of the Club.

Nicki also assisted with the Pool Rescue and swim program at HBF.

Rob McGregor

Although a paid member of the bar, Rob has put hundreds of free hours into setup, purchasing, talking to clients to organise events, as well as Sunday morning set up and a great asset to our club.

Rachel Kremer

Rachel has offered to work most Sundays in our retail shop for the last two months and when other volunteers have not been able to do their shift. Rachel has been helping us in the shop for over 5 years. She is always friendly and more than happy to help our members get their gear

Daniel Claassan

Daniel has been a trainee swim coach for Mullaloo since the Club started at the Arena. He is now a qualified Austswim Coach, thanks to the help from supportive coaches – and the kids love him, he is awesome!

LJ Alsford

I was amazed to see such a young person take on such a huge role in coaching the swim group on a Monday at HBF stadium – LJ was confident, helpful and committed to ensuring the younger club members had a fantastic swimming experience – great to see the ways our youth are stepping up into leadership roles.

Bernie Flint

Bernie is the Club’s Education Manager. Her role oversees all things education from prequalifying your existing awards to planning and liaising with trainers to train new awards as well as keeping all the Club’s trainers and assessors up to date. As one of the largest memberships on the coast, Bernie certainly has quite the job and dedication to manage all this! Thank you.
