Navigating the lumps & bumps the ocean provided
As Cyclone Lincoln pushed south into Carnarvon, the WA Surf boat fraternity pushed north to Lancelin for the final round of the regular carnival season.
Strong southerly winds and reasonable swell made for testing conditions on Saturday as 6 Mullaloo crews (4 Female / 2 male) had to “switch on” to navigate the lumps & bumps the ocean provided.
As unpleasant as it was, this is just what the doctor ordered for the crews to gain valuable experience leading into States & Aussies.
The Stormbringers & Mermaids returned from their ASRL campaign last weekend & showed that they are in fine form at the pointy end of the season, whilst the Marlins showed off their “big surf” experience to dominate the open female category.
