On Saturday 5th August 2023 over 200 fundraisers threw themselves into the chilly waters of Hillarys Boat Harbour in an annual event called the ‘Polar Plunge’.
The event was organised by WA Police officers and staff connected to the Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) and raised over $45,000 to support WA Special Olympics athletes.
Special Olympics is an international body that works to change lives by promoting understanding, acceptance and inclusion among people with and without intellectual disabilities.
The LETR approached Mullaloo Surf Club to assist by using our inflatable arch as the water entry point and we were more than happy to help set the stage.
