Number Plates

Dear Club members, as announced by Jeff Baker at the “Evening with Rob Barton” at the club on Friday 11^th August, one of our fellow club members is generously making a unique car rego plate available to help us raise funds for Rob’s nominated charity, Zero2Hero.

The registration plate, MSLSC, is owned by our mystery donor, but currently not assigned to a vehicle and will be released for transfer to a new owner.  Obviously this is a rather special item, which attracted a significant price on issue.  This being the case, we would like to open this opportunity up to all club members, by inviting all interested members to make written donation pledges.

The winner will be the person making the highest pledge to Rob’s Row and will be requested to make their donation direct to the Rob’s Row mycause site, which will thus qualify as a charitable donation, with tax relief being claimable by the person concerned.  The standard rego plate transfer fee will be payable in addition to our donor once the winner’s donation appears in the Robs Row charity site.  We intend that the period for lodgement of pledges will run over an extended period of 3 weeks starting 9am on 18/08/2023, ending 12 noon on 08/09/2023 to maximise the visibility of this opportunity to all club members.

Pledges should be made formally in writing (preferably by email) to and the winning pledge will be the last email and highest pledge received prior to 12 noon on 08/09/2023.  Please can everyone note, to save any argument, that your bid email or other correspondence must be machine time marked as received by the office prior to 12 noon, so please do not leave your bid until the last minute in case of email ISP delivery delays.  Naturally, only the winner will be required to honour their pledge (although voluntary donations are welcome of course).

All bids will be published on our Club social media pages and updated with the highest bids each day.
