Hi Everyone

It was great to see many of you back on the beach last weekend.

I hope those still on holiday, are having a great and restful time.

Amazing story of record Patrol Hours

Lifesaving is our core business, and no loss of life is our mission. Patrolling and all facets of water safety are the core of this.

Hence, I would like to congratulate the Club on an amazing November and December. Mark Sizer, our Membership Manager, alerted us that Patrol hours from Surfguard show an amazing effort in December of 3112hrs and November 2239hrs by our various teams.

The 3112 completed Patrol hours is the biggest month the Club has ever completed patrolling the beach since Surfguard started tracking hours in 2005!!!!

Thank you for all this commitment and time. It’s a truly amazing contribution.

Little Nippers and Thanks to our Managers, Coaches and AGM’s

It was great to see the Little Nippers enjoy their carnival at Fremantle last Sunday. Thanks to everyone who helped our youngest members through this experience.

I think what was highlighted again last week was what a fantastic job our Managers, AGM’s, Officials and Coaches do for our youngest members. Carnivals and regular Sunday morning activities highlight this.

Throughout the week (Monday to Sunday), and throughout the season, Managers and Coaches are providing high quality organisation, training and activities for young and old alike. Most are doing it out of the goodness of their heart and it’s a massive commitment and effort. Be it carnivals, mid-week or Sundays.

Likewise our Managers and AGM’s on Sundays are giving outstanding voluntary service to run and support Nippers sessions. Thank you so much Managers, Coaches, Officials and AGM’s.

Interstate and Surf League

You may have read that a number of our Athletes and Managers are getting ready to represent WA in the Interstates and National Super Surf League (Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday) at Maroubra, Sydney. The Nutrigrain Ironman series rounds also runs across the weekend as well, making it a really exciting opportunity for our members. Well done again to all those selected.
