As one season finishes another begins...

11.05.2023 News

Hi Everyone

I hope all is well

IRB Carnivals

As one season finishes another begins ! As the traditional summer season ends the IRB racing season begins. It was great to hear that the IRB team were out in full last weekend at Yanchep. Thanks to the coaches, managers and officials who got the season underway last weekend. Well done to all our athletes, who had a great start to the season.

Annual Dinner

The sell-out Annual dinner is in just over a week. Thank you to all those who have been involved in arranging this great annual Club event. Looking forward to acknowledging some great achievement and contributions across the season. Well done to all those who have been nominated. It is a great achievement in itself for fellow members to put pen to paper and acknowledge your contributions. Well done and thanks for everything across the 2022/23 year.

Strategic Planning beyond 2024

The Club’s Strategic Plan sets the broad agenda and important blueprint for guiding directions for the Club.

It describes our goals for the forthcoming period. It indicates how we intend to go achieving these in broad terms.

The current plan (2020 to 2024) comes to an end soon. It can be found at https://www.mullaloosurf.com.au/macwp/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/2020-24-Strat-Plan-Short-Version.pdf

The plan is owned by all the members and hence the Board and Executive of the Club are keen for your feedback and input in the review of the current plan and design of the next.

The starting point will be to take stock and see how we have progressed over the last couple of plans. Where did we start, where are we now?

The Board of Directors will be seeking your feedback, guidance, and advice in the coming months toward a new plan and blueprint for the future.

How will MSLSC navigate the next few years?

How do we attract volunteers to contribute to the Clubs’ activities?

Are there some key areas we need to focus on?

Are there areas we need to stop?

Who and how should we lead and govern our Club?

What’s missing now that we should have?

What’s best practice elsewhere?

Look out for details in the coming weeks and months for details of how you can contribute to this process.

Regards Andy
