Dear Members
Proof of vaccination is not required for participation in outdoor Club training sessions or attendance at Carnivals and Club days.
To manage the public health risks and to keep our members and the community safe, the Club will continue to follow the latest Health Department Mandates and Government Directions, as well as the Surf Life Saving Western Australia Mandate Guideline.
There are heavy fines for both individuals and organisations for breaches of the mandated regulations, so your Club is dedicated to ensuring compliance.
Please read the latest changes in the detailed information below:
Mask Wearing: Effective immediately, masks must be worn by all aged 12+ inside all parts of the Club buildings, including the life saving and equipment sheds, change rooms and first aid room.
Check in: Use the SafeWA and Service WA apps to check into the Club using the QR codes, these have been placed on every external door.
Covid Safe procedures: Do not visit the Club if you are feeling unwell. Follow social distancing instructions. Use hand sanitiser and wear a mask.
From February 1st, members wishing to access the Club’s facilities, or participate in any of the Club’s activities must provide proof of vaccination, as detailed below.
FACILITY ACCESS
Bar and Lounge: All patrons aged 16+ must provide their double vaccination digital certificate on entry to the bar.
URGENT: We need your help: If we are to keep the Club bar open, we require members to volunteer to check the digital certificates of members on entry to the bar. Please contact to register your interest in performing this vital service for the Club.
Sausage sizzle customers: The Club balcony is part of our licensed area and has the same requirements as the Bar.
Gym: Proof of vaccinations is required for access to the gym, as mandated by the State Government. Under the 2 sq m ruling which commenced 21/2/22, there is now a maximum capacity of 25 persons in the gym.
Change Rooms: Further to clarification received from the Department of Sport and Recreation there is no longer a requirement to be vaccinated for use of the Club’s changing rooms.
Club Office: We aim to limit face-to-face contact at the office. Please feel free to direct your enquiries through the office number, 9307 7766, Monday to Friday 9-4 pm for all your support needs. All visitors to the office must be double vaccinated.
ACTIVITIES
Patrols: All patrolling members must be double vaccinated.
Club day: Club Sunday activities continue as normal as they come under an open area event conducted by volunteers who have confirmed their vaccination compliance.
Education courses: Participants in all courses must be double vaccinated.
Carnivals: Attendees at SLSWA carnivals who are volunteering or being paid are subject to the WA Government COVID Safety Guidelines for Sport and Recreation and must be double vaccinated.
Volunteering: All members aged 13+ who volunteer in any capacity such as providing Water Safety, Trainers/Assessors/Coaches/Bar/Retail Shop/Nipper AGMs/Liaisons/Beach Set up/Mullaloo Mariners/Carnivals/Social events/Committees must be double vaccinated.
HOW TO PROVIDE YOUR DIGITAL CERTIFICATE IF YOU VOLUNTEER AT THE CLUB
We have employed a dedicated staff member and established a confidential email address. The digital certificates will be uploaded into the National Database in accordance with SLSWA’s Privacy Policy.
Please email stating your name and advising in what capacity you volunteer (for example Bells Patrol, or Nipper AGM), attaching the PDF or JPEG of your certificate.

Boosters: Members eligible for booster vaccinations must receive the booster within one month of becoming eligible. Please see sections 6 and 7 of the SLSWA Guideline for further information.
Medical Exemptions: Members with medical exemptions should advise the Club, providing the necessary documentation.
Mullaloo SLSC will continue to follow the Government’s health advice and comply with health regulations and policy from SLSWA to protect our members and the community.
As updates occur to regulations, policies and health guidance that are relevant to the Club, we will endeavour to inform our members as soon as possible. Members are also encouraged to stay informed of updates that relate to their personal circumstances.
Sincere thanks to the hundreds of members who have already submitted their digital certificates. For those who are still to do so, please act swiftly as this is an onerous administrative task.
