Youth/Open State Champs Wrap
That’s the Youth and Senior’s season done and dusted! Finishing off with an amazing WA State Championships at Scarborough Beach.
The temperature was just about right, swell was good for racing, depending on who you spoke to!
Mullaloo finished 4th overall, with a great 300 points, a result that we are really proud of.
As with any carnival, there were mixed fortunes, and the camaraderie in the tents was supportive and full of team spirit.
We did come away chinking a bit which is always a good feeling – medallists listed below.
Thank you to the coaches for their hard work over the season, our competitors wouldn’t be where they were without you. The competition wouldn’t happen without officials and a further thanks to those who gave their time and expertise this weekend. The Team Managers gig a great job keeping tabs on who needed to be where and who came where! Nathan and Lauren Vartesi from Rise and Grind did a superb job of muffin making and fruit chopping to keep our athletes nourished. Big thanks though to the competitors for their efforts and commitment, at the end of the day it’s all about you!
