SunSmart Nipper State Championships
There was even a 'fever' of stingrays to add to the excitement!
Trigg beach kindly put on just about perfect conditions for the SunSmart Nipper State Championships. The breeze stayed away until the competition finished and the ocean had some lovely spilling waves. There was even a ‘fever’ of stingrays to add to the excitement!
The age groups were generally well represented with a good number of competitors. The AGM’s and AGMA’s did an awesome job getting their Nippers to the line. The kids are lucky to have such a dedicated team behind them, so thank you to them! Thank you too to the parents who did water safety in IRB’s and bobbing around in the crystal waters! Mullaloo should be proud of the fact that as a Club we fielded just about half of the officials over the weekend. Three of them being parents, a couple of Youth – one made his officiating debut, and the rest there because it’s a great place to be at a competition!
There was a fabulous turn out back at the Club where the groups shared their successes and highlights. We are super excited for the medallists but are excited too for all the competitors that gave their best effort, or achieved a personal goal or were just happy to have entered the competition and represented our great club!
