Spring is in the air

Hi Everyone

I hope all is well.

The summer appears to be creeping ever closer.  The weather in the last week or so is beginning to turn and there are many more people on the beach and in the water.

The Clubs Board and Executive have held first meetings since the AGM, working towards the new season.  By way of a reminder Simon Foley, Alistair Cook and Nathan Vartesi have joined the Clubs Board, joined by Jacqui McGregor, Emma Bamforth and I from last year.

We are very much looking forward to providing service to the club and our members and being a steady hand on the tiller over the next 12 months.

In news, Sandy Clark has submitted an EOI for the vacant GM Lifesaving Services. Given we are passed the submission date for the last round of EOI’s, the Board was delighted to approve Sandy in that role. Sandy will lead the Education and Lifesaving portfolio.

The Club has a Registration Day on September 10th 11-2pm. Mark Sizer, our Membership Manager has done a great job getting this underway, if you are able to lend a hand and support the Club on this important day, please contact Mark and or the Office, thank you.

It was great to see early Education events underway last weekend. Thanks to those who attended and Jude Harlow for running this event.
