Hi Everyone
I hope all is well.
Strategic Planning
Through the year we have held various member activities (club survey, various cohort forums) to gain insight into what our future strategic direction might be. This is towards the development of our strategic plan beyond 2024.
In the 2022/23 Annual report you would have seen a ‘Scorecard’ that provided the Board’s (which has changed over the life of the previous plan) view of progress against this plan.
A strategic plan is of course ongoing, while we set a timeframe (2024 to 2028) the plan is organic in the sense that it is a ‘plan’, things happen (e.g., COVID) and it provides outcomes, goals and approaches which guide our direction.
The Board continues to welcome feedback and advice towards our next plan. This week we will be targeting Nipper and Youth parents with a simple survey that asks:
What should we START doing?
What should we STOP doing?
What should we CONTINUE doing?

Education, training and assessing.
It has been great to see so many members participating in various education courses, from ‘maintenance’ to new qualifications.
In particular, it has been great to see so many members (of all ages) taking part on the Nipper Rescue Certificate (NRC) education courses. This is a great way to start your Lifesaving journey, and in the case of parents be involved and volunteering on behalf of your children and family.
Thank you to all the trainers and assessors across the Club for your work in preparing members for these awards. It is a massive contribution to the ongoing pipeline of lifesavers across the club. We literally can’t survive without trainer and assessors. Thank you.
Have a good one
Regards Andy
