In many areas of ‘Surf Club land’, things are just hotting up
Hi Everyone
I hope all is well.
The schools are back, the Country Carnival is over, and many things appear to be returning to ‘normal’ in the sense of Monday to Friday.
But, in many areas of ‘Surf Club land’, things are just hotting up. The State Championship season across many different disciplines and types starts in the very near future.
Patrols for many many more weeks (indeed Months) and Sunday Morning Clubs ‘literally hot up.
The Club wishes everyone who is participating on behalf of Mullaloo SLSC club the very best for the coming weeks and months. Do your best and enjoy!!
As you do so, please remember to represent the Club well and treat everyone (officials, Coaches, fellow competitors etc) as you like to be treated. Be respectful, courteous and appropriate in your interactions with others – whether you feel aggrieved or not.
A few updates:
I would like to welcome Des Huxtable to our Management team. Des will take over the Manager of Sponsorship working alongside Simone, our Marketing guru in the office. Des is a relatively new member to the club and has already been working ‘unofficially’ on some sponsorship and marketing projects. Thanks for your commitment to the club Des and welcome.
The Club and City of Joondalup have finalised the new lease agreement for the MSLSC building for a further five-year period. This allows the Club to now finalise a further lease agreement with SWELL.
The Club has received a further draft plan for the refurbishment of the downstairs changing rooms. The Board continue to discuss and take advice on the best possible outcomes for our members.
MSLSC are excited to announce that we have joined the Sports Chaplaincy Australia Limited (‘SCA’) programme in 2024. Cath Ashton is now a fully accredited Sports Chaplain and will soon be working with us to support members. Cath has been down to the club a few times and will formally be introduced to the club in the coming weeks. Look out for more information and introductions soon.
