Club Surf Craft Rack Allocation

Purpose

The purpose of this procedure document is to provide the framework to members for the application for use of Club Board or Ski storage rack.

Scope

The procedure covers all storage positions for surf skis and boards in the Club. A separate application must be made for members who request both a board and ski rack allocation.

Aim

To provide clear guidance on the process by which Club surf ski and board storage racks are allocated to individual members.

Procedure

  1. Mullaloo surf craft storage racks are only to be allocated to Active, Financial and Patrolling/Long Service members and to U15 and U17 age group members.
  2. Positions are allocated in the following order of priority:
    • Coaches as identified by the Coaching Manager or Surf Sports Management team.
    • Competitors as demonstrated by competing the previous calendar year.
    • Under 15 – 19. This is due to their inability to easily transport skis to and from the club without assistance.
  1. The remaining positions will be allocated as ‘Storage’ to Active, Financial and Patrolling/Long Service members based on Lifesaving Patrol Hours/Club commitment during the last calendar year and contributions to the club as outlined in your application.
  2. Storage racks are for Surf Life Saving Approved surf skis and competition boards only. An exemption to this can be granted by the General Executive following a written submission from the Club member during the application period.
  3. Applications will be opened annually during the winter months. Once allocated a storage rack, a member has sole rights to utilise that rack until the next year’s allocations.
  4. All applications will incur a $50 application fee, refundable for unsuccessful applicants.
  5. If damage is seen in the shed, it is to be tagged with an ‘Unserviceable Tag’ that are available in a wall mount adjacent to the beach flag storage, and the office or one of the Surf Sports Managers informed as soon as practical. Contact can be made at the following email addresses:
