Boaties in Lancelin
The sandbanks on the beach gave some challenging conditions
With 3m+ swell & a light offshore breeze, what better than to take a team boaties training session upto Lancelin!
We headed out onto Back Beach which started off with Party & the Stormbringers catching the ‘wave of the day’ first up.
The sandbanks on the beach gave some challenging conditions (which was good training for the younger crews + sweeps), so we headed for the outer reefs for some longer waves.
Tide slowly retreating, the long waves surged nicely & gave valuable “time on boat” for rowers & sweeps to fine tune their skills.
That day was capped off nicely with lunch at a local establishment.
