1st Round of State Team Selections

Sunday 10^th saw the 1^st round of the “State team selections (STS)” take place alongside the regular surfboat carnival at Secret Harbour.

It was good conditions for new rowers to be introduced with mixed results for our crews.

We had 3 crews take part in the STS, with the top crew in each category off to represent WA at the ASRL open in Lorne, Victoria.

Stormbringers (U19 Male) sit in top position in the standings on 38 points

Mermaids (U19 Female) currently placed in 2^nd on 36 points

Usain Boat (U23 Female) sitting in 3^rd position on 33 points

With the remaining 3 crew that took part in the regular carnival & new rowers tackling the moderate Secret Harbour swell, results were mixed.

Sea Wolves (Open Female) came in 1^st place on 36 points

Bitadis Bitadat (Open male) finished 2^nd on 35 points

Sweep & Sours (Open Male) finished 4^th on 27 points.

All in all, great day out with Secret Harbour SLSC doing an outstanding job as host. Next Carnival will be back at Secret Harbour on January 14^th 2024.
