Surf Boats @ City beach

Last weekend 5 crews competed in round 2 of the Surf Boat Racing down at City Beach. The race conditions on the day were nice and warm. Throughout the day the conditions got harder, especially heading back to the beach after the turning can as there was a strong easterly wind.

Here are some of the results:

Mermaids came 2nd in U19 Final

Usain Boat came 3rd in U23 Female Final

Storm Bringers came 1st in U19 Male Final 

Marlins came 5th in Open Female Final

Usain Boat came 4th in Open B Female Final

Storm Bringers came 5th in the Open Male Final

Great work to everyone who competed. Shout out to the new up and coming youth who helped move boats and were a great cheer squad on the beach.

A few boaties also got some great results in Melbourne competing in the River Race Head of the Yarra. After some flight cancellations and tough, hot and muggy weather they pushed through and got some amazing results. Congratulations to Stu Clarke who came 3rd in his race   and to Sandy Clarke and Alexis Whelan who came 4th.
