Surf Boat Carnival

With 'State Team Selection' up for grabs, our U19's in both male and female sit in the box seat for representation.

22.12.2022 Surf Sports

The last regular surf boat carnival of 2022 was held at Scarborough beach on Sunday & saw some encouraging results from our next generation of crews.

With ‘State Team Selection’ up for grabs, our U19’s in both male and female sit in the box seat for representation.

The Stormbringers (Male) & Misfits (Female) currently sit in 1st place (38 & 40 points respectively) & will be looking to capitalise in the 2nd leg, early 2023. Other ‘state team selection’ crews, Usain Boat (U23 F), Wizards (Open M) & Still Salty (Open F) showed their grit, determination & skills to stay in the hunt for selection and will have to tick every box in the 2nd at Secret Harbour on Jan 8.

Concurrently with the ‘STS’ the regular opens male and female divisions took place.

The little Mermaids (F), in their 1st season, continue to show impressive signs, qualifying for the final and finishing 4th.

The males category saw the introduction of a new crew ‘Rebels’, reaching the finals & also finishing 4th. Boasting 2 rowers making their debut into this exciting sport, Mullaloo Boaties welcome Serhan Memik & John McDonagh!

All boaties have been busy & training hard in the 1st half of the season, looking forward to a mini break, then resetting for the business end of the season with 2 x State Championships & the Aussies.
