Last week was another busy one as the season gets underway. Congratulations to all those who competed at the first senior surf sports carnival of the year. It was great to see some victories, good placings and loads of effort and commitment, in what was a grueling Iron person endurance event. Good luck to all those competing in the State Endurance Championships this weekend at Sorrento.
Well done to those who braved early season conditions (mainly cold water) at the various skills maintenance sessions on Sunday. Special thanks to all our assessors for giving up their time to ‘assess’ this.
The Chase the Ace is up and running this season taking place on Friday nights at the Club. One ‘Chase the Ace’ and you could be out of here!! Or is it ‘Powerball’?? Whatever, get down to the club on Friday nights, buy a ticket and see how your luck goes. It’s a great way to enjoy the facilities. Eat, drink and hopefully watch the sun go down out on the deck.
The Club surf shop is doing a roaring trade at the moment. Don’t forget to get your Club bathers and such like. Christmas is also not to far away!!!
Finally, all the best for the coming weekend. Sorry for being broken record. But get involved, say thank you and enjoy the beach and all that the Club offers.
