Message from Club President, Andy

Hi Everyone

I hope all is well.

Wishing you and the family a restful Easter break!

The sun has come down on (most of) the summer season.

Patrols have for the most part finished their commitments last weekend, Nippers have enjoyed wind ups, and the Australian Surf Lifesaving Championships wrapped up at Scarborough beach last Sunday.

Thank you to all members who were involved in these various activities, and the ‘many many’ others that have taken place across the season

The Aussies

The Aussies was a wonderful showcase for all things Lifesaving. The competition was of the highest standard across all disciplines and age groups/categories. But of course, the competitors can only do what they do because of the support and services behind the event, be it water safety, first aid, officials, coaches, etc. The ecosystem of surf lifesaving is very reliant upon itself to provide the services and resources it requires to functions. We all support each other, to do what we enjoy

Acknowledging achievements

Soon, tickets will be on sale for the Annual Dinner. We will again be holding this in the Clubroom. The Club will again be subsidising the ticket price, covering a variety of costs to members.

Please look out very soon for these tickets as we are expecting a bumper response and there will be an early bird price.

An important part of the evening is to acknowledge achievements. Please get your nominations in if you have not already done so, for members who have gone over and above to support different facets of the club

The Aussies is just one of many events and activities across the season that highlight these contributions. Please take time to nominate people you’d like to acknowledge. Whether the final winner of not, everyone who is nominated gets acknowledged, and sometimes that is all that is important.
