Bunbury Carnival

Congratulations to the U9 Girls who had a fantastic country carnival.

11 Girls completed in all. (Annabella, Cara, Lilly, Layla, Poppy, Avery, Eva, Aubree, Ivy, Mia, Frankie)

The girls had a marvelous weekend, and had as much fun outside of competing as they did on the beach and in the water.

We had the colour run on the Friday night which they loved before getting into competition on Saturday morning.

All the girls completed in Flags, which was great to see. With Mullaloo having 3 or the final 4 competitors, Avery finishing 4^th, Cara 2^nd and Aubree taking out 1^st overall.

Sprints 5/10 girls made the semi final, with 3 making the final (Cara, Aubree, Avery) and Aubree finishing 1^st overall.

8 Girls completed in the swim, there were plenty of stingers around so anyone who completed deserves a medal. I think all the girls got stung at some point, Layla, Cara, Annabelle, Eva, Aubree all getting back in for the final despite already being stung.  With Eva finishing 2^nd overall and Cara 4^th.

Despite the stingers 10 girls still got back into the water on their boards,  4 made the final with Aubree finishing 2^nd, Mia 8^th, Lilly 11^th and Avery 13^th.

Finally we had a Cameron relay and were able to field 2 teams, finishing 1^st (Ivy, Poppy, Aubree, Layla) and 5^th (Mia, Avery, Annabelle, Frankie) Overall.

To top the weekend off, several of the girls had a relaxing day on Sunday and were lucky enough to paddle in calmer waters with some dolphin’s and a calf!

Overall a great weekend.
