On Saturday 22nd October a celebratory party was held to commemorate the significant 60th Anniversary of the Club's foundation in 1961.
The night was enjoyed by a packed room of members, old and new, who were dressed to the nines.
The sell-out event marked the milestone of 60 successful years of our contributions to community safety, building family connections and service to others by our members, resulting in a memorable moment in our Club’s proud history.
The Club has never looked better, sparkling in a silver and candlelight glow and our beach also performed to perfection at sunset.
The informal Cocktail Party format allowed guests to mingle, share reminiscences and enjoy delicious finger food, music from Coastal Drift inside and the buzz outside on the seaside balcony. A slideshow of people and events from the Club’s history was a great conversation starter, sparking many memories.
It was wonderful to see so many of our Life Members in attendance, sharing stories of the formative years of the Club and it was particularly inspiring to see Jeff Davidson in attendance.
The Board would like to thank Cindy de Bomford, Tracy Cox and Penny Fortmann, our party planners extraordinaire, for their exemplary organisation and for pulling together an amazing band of volunteers to make it happen:
