That’s it for another season!

As the old saying goes ‘time flies when you are having fun ‘ and suddenly we find ourselves at the end of the Nipper season! A huge thank you to the big group of volunteers of any capacity who make it all happen.

As promised here is a bit more detail regarding the medallists and near misses at the Nipper State Championships. These were held over two weekends, separating the beach and water-based events. So, to recap, the Beach championships were held at Sorrento Beach on 2^nd March. Congratulations to our medallists in the following events.

All of our Nippers have had a season of guidance from a fabulous group of AGM’s. On the beach for the champs we had Maison Cox, Liam Harris and Simon Stirling U10F, Pete Leeks and Jade Mountjoy U10M, Holly and Andrew Brown U11F, parent support from Elaine McDonald and Calvin Jackson, Scott Harvey and Claire Larson U12F, Drew Brown U12M, Sian and Clayton Millar U13F and Stu Ketteringham U13M.

Mullaloo has been well represented with officials and I would like to acknowledge the following club members, the majority of whom are there to support the club and have no Nippers themselves – Marnie Black, Sandy Clarke, Andy Dalton, Dawn Jones, Tahlee Jones, Connor McComas , Jacqui McGregor, Ethan Rapley, Annika Rasmussen and Vicky Rasmussen.

All clubs have to provide water safety over the weekend so a shout out to Aishling Whittle, Megan Corney, Simon Foley, Calvin Jackson, Serhan Memik, Clayton Millar, David Chadderton, Yuko Haywood, Pippa Berry, Stephan Wolmarans, Paul Brierley, Cameron Sudintas, Sean Cavanagh, Isaac Crothers and Jaydn Swan.

The big weekend was backed up with the Nipper Presentation Day. Age Groups enjoyed hanging together, reliving season highlights. Participation medals and Surf Aware certificates were handed out to all attendees and trophies for Points Champions and runners up for U10-U13 and AGM awards and Most Improved for U8-U13.
