Member Courses
Members have the opportunity and are encouraged to attain surf or first aid related awards. These provide a great opportunity to learn new skills while meeting other new members.

Assessment dates are tentative pending weather, candidate capabilities and if required skills have been achieved by respective assessment dates.
IRB DRIVERS COURSE
The aim of this course is to provide participants with the skills and knowledge to effectively drive and manage an Inflatable Rescue Boat (IRB) in surf rescue operations
- Dates:
- Theory at MSLSC Training Room every Wednesday from 3 July 2024: 6:00pm – 8.30pm
- Practical component every Saturday from 6 July 2024 (meet at the Boat Shed): 8am
- Cost: $60 per person
- Requirements:
- Be at least 16 years of age to commence training (17 years of age on the date of
final assessment) - Hold and be currently proficient in
Bronze Medallion
IRB Crewperson Certificate - Hold a WA Recreational Skippers Ticket (this can be achieved by the candidate
