The aim of this course is to provide participants with the skills and knowledge to effectively drive and manage an Inflatable Rescue Boat (IRB) in surf rescue operations.

of the MULLALOO SURF LIFE SAVING CLUB to be held in the

In accordance with the Constitution (Version 1.3 dated 17/7/15), notice is given that the Annual General Meeting of the Mullaloo Surf Life Saving Club will be held in the Lounge at 4pm on Saturday 14 August 2021. All communication for the Annual General Meeting will be provided electronically.
Nominations are called for the following Board positions and will close at 2.00pm, Friday 23 July 2021.
Directors – three (3) positions, term of two (2) years
Director – one (1) position, term of one (1) year (this is to realign with the objective of the Constitution: 29.3 Term of Office of Directors.
Nomination Forms and Position Description can be downloaded from the link buttons below, by visiting the Club website at www.mullaloosurf.com.au, or by phoning the Club Office on Monday through to Friday between 9am and 4pm on 9307 7766.
Nominations for the Board should address the criteria specified in the relevant position description. The Nominator and Seconder must be eligible to vote at the Annual General Meeting.

AGM GENERAL BUSINESS
In accordance with the Constitution (Version 1.3 dated 17/7/15), any items of Special Business need to be forwarded in writing and received electronically by the office 21 days prior to the conduct of the Annual General Meeting, i.e. 2pm Friday 23 July 2021.
The Agenda, any proposed Constitutional amendments and details of nominees for the Director positions will be forwarded to members via email ten (10) days prior (4 August, 2021) to the conduct of the AGM.
Please remember, any item for discussion at the Annual General Meeting must be put in writing and received electronically by the office by Friday 23 July 2021.

AGM VOTING
In preparation for the AGM, to clarify eligibility for voting:
As detailed in our current Constitution and By Laws, any member who holds a proficient award recognised by SLSWA and who has recorded patrol/water safety hours during the 2020/21 season is eligible to vote.
Awards can be any of the following if they are current (2020/21 season) and registered with the Club and SLSA (visible on the Members Portal): First Aid; Radio Operator; Surf Rescue Certificate; Nipper Rescue Certificate; Bronze Medallion; Advanced Resuscitation.
Should voting be required at the AGM, a list of members who meet the criteria above will be used to mark off members as they arrive on the day. There will be no exceptions and no negotiations will be entered into on the day.
The aim of this course is to provide participants with the skills and knowledge of basic patrolling and surf awareness in order to be able to participate in lifesaving operations. This is the core award to be a surf lifesaver in Australia.
On completion of this course, it is expected that you assist your club and participate in a minimum of 16 patrol hours.

This course is the minimum water safety qualification for Nipper Activity supervision alongside supporting your club on patrol.

This will be a great chance to find out more about being a part of a Surf Life Saving Club. Bring the whole family and find out how you can get involved.
We will be showcasing our services on the beautiful Mullaloo Beach. This will include Life Saving and Surf Sports. Our clubrooms will be open throughout the day for everyone to view our fantastic facilities. Members can also signup for various education courses on the day.
Whether you are signing your children up for Woodside Nippers, or are interested in becoming a volunteer lifesaver yourself, there are hundreds of opportunities that surf lifesaving opens up to all, regardless of age, gender or ability!
There will be a sausage sizzle available on the day (pending weather). We’d love to meet you and your family!

The activity will be for four days and three nights to be held from 28 September – 1 October 2021 (first week of school holidays) in the South-West coast region. All participants will be fully supervised by an adult leadership group at all times.
The purpose of the activity is to bring together the youth of the Club in a fun and challenging environment for the start of the 2021/22 surf lifesaving season. We will be conducting numerous activities that may include abseiling, canoeing and bush walks along the South-West coast.
Participants will be required to carry food, clothing and drinks (water) in a daypack for each day’s activity and must be reasonably fit and capable of walking a distance of up to 15-20km in a day.
The overall cost of the activity is anticipated to be around $220 per person depending on the hire requirements. Participants will be supplied with the required camping equipment and transport to and from the activities and most food requirements. Each participant will be required to supply a sleeping bag, appropriate clothing, toiletries and enclosed boots/shoes suitable for the activities.
Special requirements regarding medical, food etc can be discussed at this session.
We require a $100 deposit to secure your place on the camp. Deposits can be made as part of this registration. Alternatively, register for the camp and you can make payment at the Information Session on the 29th. Please note, places on the camp are limited and will only be secured by payment of a deposit.
This is an excellent opportunity to participate in a team building program that will be conducted away from the surf environment and interact with your peer’s. The activities will be exciting, fun and achievable.
