The aim of this course is to provide participants with the skills and knowledge of basic patrolling and surf awareness in order to be able to participate in lifesaving operations. This is the core award to be a surf lifesaver in Australia.
On completion of this course, it is expected that you assist your club and participate in a minimum of 16 patrol hours.
- Current financial club member
- Minimum age 15 years
- Swim 400 metres in under 9 minutes
- Parental approval if under 18 years of age
- E-Learning to be completed prior to starting the course
