Junior Competitions

The 2017/18 calendar is currently being revised by SLSWA so we are unable to list carnivals at this stage.

2016/17 Season IMPORTANT INFORMATION – NIPPER BOARDS

All competition age junior members (under 11 to under 13) will be required to possess their own board this season.

Under 10 Competing members will use foamies, club borrowed or privately owned, and do not need to lease these at this stage.

If you do not wish to purchase your own board for your child, you will be able to “Lease” a club board, at no cost. We will not be charging a fee for leasing the board, only a bond/deposit, which will be returned to you upon return of the board in good condition. Any damage costs incurred at the time of the board’s return will be taken out of the bond. If you have repaired the damage yourself and the board is in reasonable condition upon return then the full bond will be returned.

THE COST OF THE BOND/DEPOSIT IS $150 PER BOARD.

If your child is not in possession of their own board or a club leased board on club days or competition days, then club boards will be made available to them for their use, but these will only be the FOAM nipper boards, not fibreglass, regardless of age.

PLEASE NOTE: the following dates are available for Board Allocations:
SATURDAY 8TH OCTOBER, 8am.

More dates may be made available if needed, after these dates.

MIDWEEK TRAINING

Training is available mid week to all Nippers – U10s to U13s in a variety of surf lifesaving disciplines including board paddling and beach events – at Mullaloo Beach. All training sessions are split into separate tiers that run at the same time to cater for all skill levels.

Please note that last season’s tier 4 board training participants (competitive juniors), your training will be starting in the second week of the October school holidays, so make sure you have organised a board by then. You must also have completed your season proficiency swim, days and times can be found in the newsletter or on the club calendar on the website prior to attending these sessions.

Any queries regarding this new process for junior boards please click here to email Mandy Lee.
