Ted Scott Marathon

Ted Scott Marathon has to be one of the highlights of the club calendar as the one event that sees participation across members from all age group categories.

The race started with our U14’s through to Masters who complete the full course which amounts to about a total of 9km of running and 2km of swimming. The event started with light winds but these became stronger as time went on, to make for choppier conditions as the race progressed.

The Nipper Age Groups followed the start pack, completing variously different courses according to their age. It’s a spectacular sight with all the coloured caps going up and down the course.

Spectacular too was Santa’s surf boat sweeping skills as he made a visit to our beautiful beach.

The overall winner was Harry Jones and first female was Soraya Lee who was swimming Harry down in that long final swim making for an exciting finish.

Top 10 results are as follows
