Mullaloo Volunteer Recognition — Letter from Alkimos SLSC

Hi Alistair,

Alkimos SLSC had their Development Carnival on Sunday and without the volunteers it would not have been the success it was.

I would like take this opportunity to recognise the volunteer contingent from Mullaloo SLSC assisting at the Carnival, specifically:

  • Clayton Miller (assisted with IRB setup, water safety and pack-up);
  • Edgar Coello (assisted with IRB setup, water safety and pack-up);
  • Rochelle Villemin (assisted with IRB, water safety and pack-up)
  • Tracey Tenaglia (Event First Aid Officer, assisted with pack-up)
  • Carlo Tenaglia (assisted with setup, pack-up and patrol)

The IRB volunteers helped run our new IRB crew members through some IRB training exercises after the carnival ended.  Our IRB crew were very thankful for the extra experience.

Mark Hills volunteered as the Event Safety Officer and coordinated the Water Safety. He also took the time to mentor our Club Safety Officer and our Water Safety Coordinator during the event — his support was and is greatly received.

There were other Mullaloo SLSC members who also volunteered for Official roles and water safety during the event which is fantastic!

Personally I feel blessed to have witnessed the day and seeing how much fun the kids had.  Again without Mullaloo’s support it would not have been a success.

Please thank these people on behalf of myself and Alkimos SLSC.  Please don’t hesitate to ask for our help for anything in the future, we would love to return the favour.

Kind Regards
