Lifesaving World Champs update

They said Glenelg would be a mill pond!!

Check out some of the action in our SmugMug Photo Portfolio HERE!

With the first few days of the Ocean competition suspended due to some 80–90km winds and horrendous “surf” it was not the most inviting conditions.

The weather cleared and a choppy surf — likened to our afternoon Mullaloo south west ocean set the stage for the Surf Boat competition.

Congratulations to our Bubble Wrap — Masters 200 male surf boat crew -coming home as World Bronze Medallists.
Steve Part — sweep, Stuart Clarke, Martin Fisk, Tim Buytels, Edgar Coello. It certainly was a tough 3 races to get there!!

Our Neptune’s Daughters u19 girls (Sophie Hummerston, Anna Gregson, Elise Dagnia, Ciera Madden, Stuart Clarke — sweep) with 3 tough races ended with a 9th overall! Awesome effort!

Marlins, our masters 180 female just missed out on a medal coming in 4th in their final (Sandy Clarke, Rachel Kremer, Rachel Greene, Tamara Yujnovich, Stuart Clarke — sweep). Great team effort and support!

Huge THANK YOU to Martin Fisk and Jesse McMahon who drove the surf boat to and from Adelaide — in record time too!! Thanks Jesse for your assistance on the beach in shifting boats and great teamwork between the 3 teams in supporting each other over the few days of competition!

We wish Joshua Clarke good luck in his racing over the next few days as the Championships continues.
