Would you like to contribute to the Club by becoming a Manager?

The Club is now call­ing for Expres­sions of Inter­est (EOIs) from all mem­bers who would like to be con­sid­ered for any Club man­ag­er position(s).

EOIs will be received until 9pm Mon­day 25 June 2018 (down­load the EOI Form — fil­l­able PDF or EOI Form — Word ver­sion). Please email your EOIs to the Club Office, or post to Mul­laloo SLSC PO Box 119, Hillarys WA 6923.

The Board of Direc­tors will then:

  1. assess the writ­ten EOIs;
  2. dis­cuss the expec­ta­tions of the posi­tions with mem­bers who have expressed their inter­est;
  3. liaise with the Gen­er­al Man­ag­er for the area for their input about the man­age­ment team they are seek­ing; and
  4. appoint man­agers.

Management Teams

This means all man­age­ment posi­tions are open for mem­bers to express their inter­est. The Board is keen to have as many mem­bers as pos­si­ble sub­mit their EOIs to estab­lish strong ‘man­age­ment teams’. This approach is more like­ly to suc­cess­ful­ly man­age the Club’s oper­a­tions by spread­ing the load on vol­un­teers and bal­anc­ing each other’s strengths and weak­ness­es.

Pathways to Management Roles

It would be ide­al if the Club could attract enough inter­est from mem­bers to cre­ate full teams of man­age­ment, with a Lead man­ag­er, a ‘deputy’ and ‘under­stud­ies’. So, for those mem­bers who think they don’t yet have the skills or expe­ri­ence to ful­ly per­form a par­tic­u­lar role, please still sub­mit your EOI. The Board will endeav­our to pro­vide you with an oppor­tu­ni­ty to get start­ed in a role and pro­vide men­tors, train­ing and sup­port to cre­ate a path­way for your devel­op­ment.

Business As Usual – with preparation

While the Board con­ducts this recruit­ment and appoint­ment, mem­bers cur­rent­ly in Man­ag­er posi­tions will con­tin­ue to oper­ate as nor­mal.
