Surf Sports
Surf Life Saving brings with it a fantastic opportunity for all members in the form of competition.
Senior members of the club (U15 through to Masters) are encouraged to participate in competition events held at the club each Sunday morning, and against other clubs at times throughout the season.
Competition exists in the form of Beach, Water, Surf Boat and Life Saving events and suits everyone with a reasonable level of fitness. Participation can be social or competitive, depending on each person’s desire. For further information, contact the Director of Competition.
A number of training sessions across a range of disciplines are held by the club each week throughout the season, the details of these can be found in the calendar.
People wishing to compete must hold the appropriate award (either Surf Rescue Certificate or Bronze Medallion) and must be proficient at the time of competition. Competitors must also complete a minimum number of patrol hours to be eligible to participate. Mullaloo SLSC strongly encourages all competitors to fulfill their full life saving patrol obligations.
The club provides its members with a limited amount of equipment for general use including training boards and skis. Access is limited to the appropriate training sessions and you must hold an appropriate award for safety reasons.
The club also provides a gym for fitness and training purposes for all members aged 15 or over.
