Surf Sports competition provides members the opportunity to refine and practice their lifesaving skills in the competition arena at local, state, national and international level. Surf Sports forms a significant component of the Surf Life Saving movement. Competition improves a surf life savers’ lifesaving skills.
Competition exists in numerous disciplines such as Beach, Water, Surf Boat and Life Saving events and suits everyone with a reasonable level of fitness. Participation can be social or competitive, depending on each person’s desire. For further information, contact the Manager of Competition.
A number of training sessions across a range of disciplines are held by the club each week throughout the season, the details of these can be found in the calendar.
Members participating in surf sports competition must have a minimum qualification (either Surf Rescue Certificate or Bronze Medallion) and must meet the patrol hour requirements according to their membership category to compete.
Mullaloo SLSC provides a gym for fitness and training purposes for all members aged 15 or over.
