Lead­er­ship
Lead by eth­i­cal exam­ple to main­tain and strengthen the public’s trust and con­fi­dence in the integrity of the surf club and its members

Objec­tiv­ity
Impar­tial assess­ment and selec­tion; make deci­sions in fair­ness to all

Account­abil­ity
To be account­able to the pub­lic for your deci­sions and actions and con­sider issues on their mer­its, tak­ing into account the views of others

Hon­esty
To act hon­estly and exer­cise a rea­son­able degree of care and dili­gence in car­ry­ing out func­tions, fully dis­clos­ing actual or poten­tial con­flict of inter­ests and exer­cis­ing any con­ferred power strictly for the pur­pose for which the power was conferred

Respect
Treat oth­ers with respect at all times. This means not using deroga­tory terms towards oth­ers, observ­ing the rights of other peo­ple, treat­ing peo­ple with cour­tesy and recog­nis­ing the dif­fer­ent roles of others

Gen­eral

  • Be ulti­mately respon­si­ble for your chil­drens’ behav­iour and safety
  • Exer­cise rea­son­able care and dili­gence when on the surf club premises and sur­round­ing area and beach
  • Act law­fully and honestly
  • Be a finan­cial mem­ber by the date set by Mul­laloo SLSC Board of Management
  • Regard vol­un­teer­ing as nec­es­sary to the run­ning of the surf club
  • Respect and care for surf club prop­erty and premises
  • Com­ply with surf safety guidelines
  • Dress appro­pri­ately within the surf club
  • Avoid behav­iour that could con­sti­tute an act of dis­or­der or misbehaviour
