Membership
Membership covers the period from 1 October to 30 September in the following year. The surf lifesaving season runs from the beginning of October through to the end of March. There are a number of membership categories available with the emphasis firmly placed on family involvement and active participation. Children aged 13 years and under must join under the umbrella of a Family Membership. Persons over 13 years not covered by Family Membership must join as a Cadet, Active or Probationary Member. These categories require members to complete specific surf life saving awards, as a minimum, and perform patrol duties.
Parents/guardians are very welcome, encouraged to gain their Bronze Medallion award and become active members. It is a great way to get to know more people in the club. There are many advantages to active membership which include: improved fitness, use of gymnasium, use of club boards and skis, discount on following year’s membership (if specified minimum patrol commitments are met), and providing water safety for your own children.
Mullaloo SLSC is a fantastic club which is run by volunteers – for volunteers. Our success for the season relies on each member making their own contribution. Don’t sit back! Help steer the club through another exciting season.
Junior Membership Information
With such large numbers of juniors joining the club, we are forced to cap the number of each age group to allow for manageability and safe practice.
If you would like to join as a family and have children that you would like to take part in the nippers program, our age groups are currently at full capacity and the waiting list is now closed until 1 April 2012. We open our waiting list on the 1st April each year (NOT BEFORE), you will need to forward the completed form to us so that we can include your details onto the waiting list. After we have taken renewals from our existing members – we will be able to take people form the waiting list. If you have been successful, you will be notified by email in early September (NOT BEFORE) and you will need to attend the clubs New Members Registration Day – usually held mid September each year. If you do not hear from us, it means that a space is not available this season. Names are NOT transferred over to the following year and you will need to reapply the following April.
There is a $100 application fee which is used as part payment if your application is successful and is fully refunded in the event you are unsuccessful.
