Members of Mullaloo SLSC are given many opportunities to contribute to the community, develop life and leadership skills, improve fitness, cultivate youth and to interact with a wide network of people. New members are encouraged to attain a Surf Rescue Certificate (SRC) or Bronze Medallion (BM) award. This provides a great opportunity to learn new skills while meeting other new members.

A SRC or BM award is a prerequisite for patrolling, a commitment we take very seriously and have great pride in providing the community.

After the bronze medallion is attained, there are many further awards that can be achieved. The achievement of more awards is highly encouraged by our club.

Please view the calendar for upcoming education courses.

Member Spotlight: CHRIS HAINSWORTH

2010/11 Patrol Person of the Year

Chris performed 177 patrol hours, the highest of all 580 Mullaloo Surf Club patrolling members. Throughout the season Chris managed the event crew, was Patrol captain of Torquay Patrol, and on many occasions was the first person to put his hand up to stand in as acting patrol captain when necessary. What Chris has given to this club this season is priceless.
